Recommendations for the Visitor

Although the region of Iguassu Falls is normally hot with sunny days, bring a pullover or light jacket because sudden temperature changes can occur the year round. During our winter, which is from May through August, it’s a good idea to bring a warm coat. We also recommend a light rain jacket, a sun cap and sun block. During excursions to some of the principal attractions it’s possible that the participants get wet. Expect to have to change clothes more often than usual.

Our community comprises three different countries and it is possible to cross more than one border in a day. Bring your passport. Almost all commercial establishments accept credit cards but it’s a good idea to bring a bit of cash so that you can shop in handicraft fairs, for personal petty shopping and for tipping (10% is the norm here).
